DATE: Late Victorian, c.1900

A stunning antique bangle set with vibrant blue spinels and rose cut diamonds. The central stone, set within a diamond halo, is certified at 2.7 carats natural intense blue spinel with no indications of heat treatment and no visible inclusions; it's flanked on either side a pair of diamonds, pair of spinels, and a final arrow-head shaped cluster of diamonds. The bangle is hinged at one side and crafted in 18 karat gold throughout, with French import marks indicating it was made in England and most likely retailed in Paris. It dates from the turn of the 20th century - offered in the period presentation box pictured.
