Antique Turquoise Bird Brooch: This Victorian era brooch (circa 1880) features a swallow adorned with turquoise cabochons and two ruby eyes. The swallow is 800 silver - a slightly lower silver content than sterling silver which is 925/1000 parts silver.

The brooch measures 0.8 inches by 2.25 inches wide and weighs 6.49 grams. It is in very good condition with nibbles to some of the turquoise cabochons (visible under close inspection). The c-clasp is also a later replacement.
